Everyone knows that May Day is “Lei Day” in Hawaii. Each island has its own celebration of the flower lei, a symbol of the beauty of life in Hawaii. The largest of these celebrations is held in Waikiki, Oahu, at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. This year’s event will run from 9:00am-5:30pm on Thursday, May 1st, with the annual lei competition and exhibition, displays, food booths, live entertainment and keiki activities.
